amazing under 400 calorie dinner

stuffed shells
1lb ground venison sausage
1/2 onion
1/2 cup chopped mushrooms
1 green pepper
italian seasonings as you like
jumbo shells (i only use 18 to fill a casserole dish and the box comes with 36
1 jar of your favorite spaghetti sauce

instructions:
boil shells for the time indicated on the box
brown meat and mix in vegetables (only use what you like i have done it with no veggies and it's just as good.
add seasonings to meat (again not necessary)
when shells are done boiling place them in a bowl with cold water. you will not want them to stick.
fill shells with meat mixture and place in casserole dish
pour spaghetti sauce on top, place in oven and bake 25 minutes at 375.

i made this up using the things brandon and i love. brandon likes mozarella cheese in the meat mixture before i stuff the shells but that's not part of the healthy version.

366 calories in 3 jumbo shells the way i make them. i can never eat more than that.

This looks yummy! We don't have access to venison but we like it.Do you add a salad too?

I did eat a salad on that night. You can use regular sausage too, it just adds more fat...you could try turkey sausage that is low in fat. I love venison, because first of all it is free and in the freezer when I want it, and secondly it has 1/3 the calories of beef/pork.
