STINK!

I want to know what in the world is making my house smell so terrible...

I tried describing the smell to my roommate (who cannot smell this awful smell)....I said it is like Bug spray meets stinky shoes....I have worked out for about 2 hours today so maybe it's me...I don't know!

Maybe a shower will change all of these things, I sure as heck hope so, because it's an awful smell...really!

So I have set a goal for myself. I would like to be able to run a marathon by December. I don't think there are many that I am actually interested in during that month, but I am interested in some spring marathons...but being able to accomplish the 5k and work at a faster time starting in December will be GREAT!

Yesterday I walked 2 miles. Today I walked/ran 2.5 miles and then walked another 1 mile....also did an hour of Pilates. I made an agreement in my head that every time a car passed I would run for 1 minute...and I did good for about 5 cars, then as the last car was coming, I just couldn't do it...mind you there was 100% humidity today and 95 degrees, so that was terrible. I got to the track, ran 2 laps, then walked back, with just 1 minute of running...so I think I did a pretty good job. I know I have to start out slow. When I came home I did as much Pilates as I could handle and turned off the dang DVD when I was ready to throw something at the TV.

This evening my roommate needed her exercise so we went back to the track and walked 1 mile together. I was supposed to go to boot camp tonight, but I skipped out...I will HAVE to go next Tuesday. I know I worked just as hard at home and at the track as I would have with boot camp, so I don't feel too bad.

Ok...so that's my goal for now. I have set it...AND I'm also trying to be ok with NOT caring what I weigh, but just being satisfied fitting in the clothes I used to wear...which I think is a much better goal than aiming for a specific weight.

I have already lost 6lbs since we started weight watchers! HOORAY! Obviously I gained some post-break up pounds so I am just getting those off...yuck! But I'm almost to what I was before the drama started...I think maybe 2 more lbs to go.

Congrats!! Wow, you are motivated. Good job. Are you really going to do a marathon? I would be a wimp and start out with a half marathon. I can't wait to see pictures. :)

Oh, I am definitely going to be a wimp and start with a half marathon. I'm trying to find a 5k to run in November. I really wish someone would do it with me, but I think I'll be alright.

Hi Wendy,

It's been cool reading your blog and catching up with what is going on in your life. Sounds like you are keeping very busy.

I admire your motivation to exercise. I took a gym class for the first time during the beginning of summer and I loved running and was really motivated... while I was getting graded. Haven't done much since class ended, but I'm trying to get back into it...

Congrats on losing weight, and I really enjoyed reading your Bucket List. I have a bunch of ideas in my head, but you've inspired me to write it down.

Do you start classes tomorrow? What grade(s) are you teaching?
